A multidisciplinary resource including ProQuest Research Library with citations and abstracts for over 2,500 journals, magazines, and newspapers, many dating back to 1986 or earlier and covering all subject areas.

Hein Online is primarily a collection of full text legal periodicals. Additionally it provides access to International Legal Materials (currently 1962 - 2003) which contains the texts of major treaties. The database is image-based and so provides the exact page images of articles in journals; you view the page as it originally appeared in hardcopy.

United Nations Treaty collection

Information relating to the status of multilateral treaties deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and information on their entry into force is available on-line from the website of the United Nations Treaty Collection (untreaty.un.org). A special page has been created on the UNTC website to compile United Nations Conventions on Terrorism.

The UNITED NATIONS OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS SYSTEM (ODS) is the electronic repository for official documents published by the United Nations. The full text of documents is accessible in PDF and word format in all official languages of the United Nations--Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

Yearbook of International organizations:

Provides directory information for individuals, international organizations, and agencies, as well as policy overviews. Published by the Union of International Associations (UIA).

Encyclopedias and Dictionaries

Contains the full-text of more than 100 dictionary, language, and subject reference books published by Oxford University Press. Users can browse or search for keywords within a subject area

Termium Plus is the Government of Canada's electronic bilingual dictionary (English -French / French - English) containing more than three million terms and names.

Also includes some of the Translation Bureau's writing tools, such as the Canadian Style and Le guide du rédacteur. Updated monthly.

With over 73,000 articles, Encyclopædia Britannica contains both short and book-length articles on every subject.

Encyclopædia Universalis

Like the Encyclopaedia Britannica on which it is modelled, the Encyclopaedia Universalis covers all fields of knowledge.

Concise Oxford English Dictionary (Eleventh Edition)

Same as printed version. The Editorial Directive issued 16 March 2005 ( ST/CS/SER.A/40/Rev.2) states that "the authority for spelling and hyphenation in the United Nations is the eleventh edition of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary (Oxford and New York, Oxford University Press, 2004)."
